Yonder, a contemporary American restaurant - located in Miami’s Coral Gable neighborhood - from Chef Evan Burgess. Inspired by the rich agricultural landscape of Florida, Yonder is a place to honor the Sunshine state and the people behind every ingredient. Our kitchen combines contemporary and classic techniques, rooted in sustainability with a commitment to community and craft.
About the Chef
Raised in Broward County, Evan Burgess decided to pursue a career in the kitchen shortly after high school. During his early career, Burgess worked at Alter restaurant in Miami before moving to Chicago and working at Band of Bohemia and BOKA. While in Chicago, Burgess competed in Ment’or BKB Young Chef Competition, hosted by Chefs Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud, and Jérôme Bocuse.
In 2020, during the pandemic, he joined the team at Ariete and spent two and a half years as executive Sous Chef. During his tenure, the restaurant earned its first Michelin star.
In 2023, Burgess opened EntreNos, a pop-up restaurant in Miami Shores. Under Burgess, EntreNos earned a Michelin star (2024-25), a Michelin Green Star (2025), and Star Chefs Magazine’s Game Changers award.
With his new project, Yonder, Burgess is expanding upon the ethos of his Pop-up, highlighting sustainability and community.
